05/15/05 - Robert A. Lawrence died on May 15th after a long battle with cancer. Like everything he did during his life, Bob gave his best effort to defeat his sickness. It will take us all a long time to recover from such a devastating loss. On May 20th a celebration of the life of Robert Appleton Lawrence, Sr. was held at the Calvary Episcopal Church in Summit, NJ. There was a very large turn out of friends and relatives. Bob was truly loved by so many people. His son, Ned, his brother Alan, and nephew, Dave presented family remembrances which beautifully described what a wonderful person and family leader we lost when Bob died. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bob's immediate Family who all suffered with Bob through his illness. Eileen in particular was a rock through the whole ordeal. After the Church service friends and relatives gathered at Beacon Hill Club and later at Kathy Tennant's to celebrate Bob's life as he would want us to with a family type gathering with lots of food, drink , and fun. Bob may be gone, but he will always live on in our memories and especially in so many entertaining stories. We love him, we miss him, and we will never forget him.

Jane Rollenhagen died during my move and settling in period at Cape Cod when I was experiencing computer problems. As a result I never entered my thoughts and info regarding her death. Jane was one of Linda and my closest and dearest friend. Her lose has touched us deeply. The whole Rollenhagen family have alway been like family member not just friends. Fortunately we now have some happy times with the birth of Emmy's baby boy, Charlie. It is a time we all remember Jane, the grandma who would have been oh so happy.
